10/13/2006 West Pond, Imperial County, north east of Yuma, Arizona

These bugs were seen by observers of the CalOdes Blitz group on 10/07/06, when a mating pair flew by. The Observers were unsure, but on 10/08/06 several observers from the group were able to photograph a male to confirm the 1st State record. I went back out to the area on 10/13/06, and was able to see both the male and female, but as I was getting into position to photograph them, the male flew and did not return while I was there for the next hour. Here's the female.
